Why the connection failed

Shopify rejected the request to create a Storefront API access token with an HTTP 403 response.

The Shopify integration app must either be registered as a sales channel or have unauthenticated Storefront API scopes. The current provisioning does not satisfy either requirement, so Shopify will not issue the token needed to connect the catalog and checkout. This is an integration provisioning issue, not a problem with the storefront UI or product data.
